During the Love Is Blind Season 2 finale, there was one surprising couple that didn’t end up getting married: Sal and Mallory. Despite their edit on the show, it looks like the two had more problems than we initially thought.
When they first met in the pods, Mallory wasn’t sure about Sal. But over time, the two bonded and crafted a strong emotional connection. Still, Mallory went back and forth between Sal and Jarette. When Jarette proposed to Mallory, she rejected him and decided Sal was the one for her.
Back in the real world, problems seemed to appear left and right for the couple. When all the couples first met outside of the pods, Jarette and Mallory spent all evening talking about their relationship, and Sal became uncomfortable when he realized Jarette and Mallory had a ton of unresolved chemistry. Mallory’s family didn’t approve of her sudden engagement, which meant she had a much smaller group of friends and family to see her married off.
And it turned out Sal had a what sounds like a situationship before he left to film Love Is Blind, but didn’t formally break up with the woman he was with. Still, Mallory was wooed by Sal’s serenades and devotion, and the two made it all the way to the altar before Sal said no; he wanted a bit more time to get to know her before tying the knot. It was easily the shock of the season, considering the two appeared to weather any issues with ease.
So, are the two still together after their fraught love story?

On the show, Mallory seemed to take Sal’s rejection well, and even agreed to go on a date. The two still follow each other on Instagram, but haven’t interacted on social media at all. It looks like we’ll just have to wait until After the Altar on March 4 to find out what their relationship status is.
