The Under-the-Radar Brands Worn by Vogue’s Best Dressed List

Among Hollywood celebrities, there’s a certain pressure to step out in their very best, all year round. It’s no wonder, then, that so many work with top fashion houses (and stylists) on a rotating array of custom or fresh-off-the-runway looks.

But if Vogue’s 2025 Best Dressed List proves anything, it’s that you don’t have to wear a major brand like Prada or Gucci to prove your fashion bona fides; in fact, some of the greatest red carpet hits of the year came courtesy of smaller and emerging labels. Just take a star like Jenna Ortega, who arrived at the Academy Museum Gala this year in a Grace Ling satin skirt and sculptural steel-like breastplate. Sharp and sleek yet utterly theatrical, the look was instantly memorable. Or, consider Jennifer Lawrence, who stepped out in New York last month wearing a shapely white tee and black mini skirt from Lii, a rising Chinese designer known for his clean yet avant-garde pieces. Recent Vogue cover star Ayo Edebiri’s satiny cream Kallmeyer mini dress for a premiere of The Bear was another stealthily chic hit. And even the well-dressed men of Hollywood have supported fashion’s new class of designers: Alexander Skarsgard—one of the breakout style stars of the year—hit the Cannes Film Festival this year in a traditional tuxedo up top and sequined trousers on the bottom from British menswear talent Bianca Saunders. It all goes to show that sometimes, the real fashion magic comes from the least expected places.

Below, explore the under-the-radar brands that Vogue’s best dressed stars love.
