Retail packaging for the DJI Mini 4 Pro has leaked online, reportedly less than two weeks before the drone’s release. Not only does the packaging confirm various specifications, but it also showcases the Mini 3 Pro replacement for the first time.
It seems that DJI is in the final stages of preparing to announce the Mini 4 Pro following months of leaks. While DJI has not acknowledged the existence of a Mini 3 Pro successor, the drone recently turned up at various regulatory bodies, indicating an impending release. Now, the likes of @Quadro_News have obtained pictures the Mini 4 Pro’s retail packaging, confirming several device specifications in the process.
Unsurprisingly, the Mini 4 Pro will weigh less than 250g, ensuring that it falls within various drone regulations. Nonetheless, the drone will feature omnidirectional active obstacle sensing, plus DJI’s usual set of camera software like Focus track and Hyperlapse. Moreover, DJI rates the Mini 4 Pro’s battery life at 34 minutes, with 20 km video transmission possible at 1080p. Please note, EU regulations will restrict the Mini 4 Pro’s video transmission to 10 km.
Furthermore, the Mini 4 Pro has a single 48 MP camera with an f/1.7 aperture and a 24 mm equivalent focal length. Thus, it appears that DJI’s next ‘Pro’ Mini drone will retain many of its predecessor’s features, including 4K/100 FPS slow motion video capture and HDR video support. Purportedly, DJI will unveil the Mini 4 Pro in under two weeks, with a September 15 launch date suggested by @Osita_LV.
