Chappell Roan debuted her shortest hairstyle yet at Paris Fashion Week, stepping out at the Acne Studios’ show with her signature red hair pinned up into a faux bob haircut. See her look.
Chappell Roan’s “C–ty” Faux Bob Is Hot to Go at Paris Fashion Week
Chappell Roan is a femininomenon when it comes to style.
Case in point: The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer created an illusion of a much shorter haircut at Paris Fashion Week. Stepping out at Acne Studios’ runway show March 4, Chappell pinned up her signature long, red hair to form the look of a faux bob.
She paired the angular hairstyle with a grayish blue, turtleneck dress featuring a corset bustier and asymmetrical skirt. Covered in the lace, the sleeveless frock was completed with matching gloves and stocking heels.
And Chappell’s hairstylist didn’t hold back when describing the vibe of the 28-year-old’s ‘do.
“Bonjour!” Lacy Redway wrote on Instagram. “From Paris with a c–ty faux bob on my girl.”
But this isn’t the first time Chappell toyed around with the idea of short crop. After all, her music video for “The Subway,” which showed the Grammy winner with Rapunzel-like hair as she chased after an ex around New York City, ended with her rocking a bob to symbolize moving on from the relationship.
While Chappell confirmed at the time of the shoot last year that the jaw-leveled look was a wig, she wrote on Instagram, “You do not. understand. how bad I want a bob now.”
And hair plays an important role in Chappell’s life. As she previously explained, her fiery red tresses is a form of “drag” that helps her tap into her onstage persona.
“I’m just being my 10-year-old self,” she told Paper in 2024. “My whole persona is just me trying to honor that version of myself that I was never allowed to be.”

Indeed, the natural brunette felt stifled by conventions growing up in Missouri.
“I was always so precious about my hair,” she recalled in a December interview with Canadian music journalist Nardwuar. “I was like, ‘I can’t possibly dye it. That’s crazy.'”
Chappell added, “And then one day, I was like, ‘F–k it.'”
