One particular accessory that’s garnered attention is Lawrence’s revival of the classic black headband on numerous occasions.
The new mom first wore a simple black headband over her sleek, middle-parted hair during her episode of First We Feast’s “Hot Ones,” aired on June 22, where she teared up while eating superspicy wings. She wore one again on June 29, this time with a deep side part and loose waves, as she was photographed filming a commercial in New York City.
After some investigation, Lawrence’s hairstylist, Gregory Russell, confirmed the actor’s silk headbands are from luxury hair accessory brands Jennifer Behr and Lelet. “I love a headband — it’s a timeless accessory that can really polish a look,” Russell, who also works with Lily Collins and Anya Taylor-Joy, recently told POPSUGAR. So in case there was any hesitation, according to Lawrence and her stylist, the nostalgic headband is indeed back.
Lawrence’s choice of accessory is an elevated, more structured version of the stretchy fabric headband, which recently made a welcome return from the ’90s. Stars like Bella Hadid, Nicola Peltz, and Lori Harvey have been spotted in the casual, sporty style, just in time for summer.
