A good serve knows no gender. This week, Instagram feeds seemed to be heavily populated with noteworthy and eye-catching menswear looks. Succession star Nicholas Braun showed what can only best be described as a Beach Bum-adjacent get-up involving an open, billowy fuschia shirt, baggy jeans, and exposed v-line. The entire scene looked fit for an early-aughts boy band video (in the best way possible, of course). While Next in Fashion winner Nigel Xavier, who primarily works with denim, showcased the fabric’s endless versatility with a colorful patchwork look. A more-than-honorable mention: British actor Callum Howells in a crispy, pleated Simon Rocha skirt with ballet-inspired trainers.
Of course, there were some great womenswear looks too. Much notably, Taraji P. Henson, styled by Jason Rembert, in a stellar array of looks this week, as she promoted efforts to increase mental health and wellness at HBCUs across the nation. A particularly delightful look from the promo tour: Henson dressed in faux-fur Marc Jacobs dress straight off the runway.
