The SF2000 is a new retro gaming handheld, albeit one that is priced particularly aggressively. Shaped like a Super NES controller, the SF2000 has a 3-inch IPS display, 1 GB of RAM and is said to be powerful enough to emulate GBA and GBC games, as well as other game libraries.
Data Frog has launched the SF2000, an exceptionally cheap gaming handheld. Shaped like a Super NES controller, the SF2000 measures 166 x 69 x 32 mm and features a 1,500 mAh battery that should last for up to 6 hours between charges. As the image below shows, the gaming handheld has a USB Type-C port for charging, as well as a MicroSD card reader and a rear-firing stereo speaker set-up.
Additionally, Data Frog has mimicked the layout of a Nintendo Super NES controller, with two-tone ABXY buttons and two shoulder buttons. However, the company has added a small analog stick and has moved the SELECT/START buttons for the gaming handheld’s display. According to the company, the display measures 3-inches across and outputs at 1,280 x 720 pixels, presumably with a 60 Hz refresh rate. The display should have good viewing angles too, thanks to its reliance on IPS technology.
Moreover, the SF2000 has a dual-core CPU and 1 GB of RAM, the combination of which should be powerful enough to emulate GBA, GBC and MAME titles, among other game libraries. Currently, Data Frog sells the SF2000 for US$23.77 on AliExpress before any discounts.
