Announced and also released in January, last year’s Moto G Power Android smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 inside and runs Android 10 out of the box. This 6.6-inch handset is now available with discounts that go as far as 48% (4/64 GB Gray), while the cheapest variant is now the 3/32 GB one, priced at US$109.
Those looking for the best value in a smartphone must never forget to check last year’s offerings, not to mention two-year-old flagships if the budget allows. Unfortunately, there’s no high-end flagship from 2020 or 2021 that can be acquired for less than US$150 right now (unless second-hand or refurbished/renewed units are taken into account, of course).
Thankfully, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662-equipped Moto G Power (2021) now starts at just US$109 for the 3/32 GB variant (45% off) and US$129.99 for the 4/64 GB version (48% discount for the gray finish). The 4/128 GB 2022 model is available at US$169.99 (32% off), while the the top-of-the-line 6/256 GB Moto G 5G can be acquired for US$249.99 (32% down from the US$399.99 list price).
All handsets mentioned above are unlocked and made by Motorola for the US market. The Moto G Power (2021) runs on Android 10 out of the box and, in addition to the processor and storage amounts mentioned above, it comes with a triple main camera setup (48+2+2 MP), an 8 MP selfie shooter, a 5,000 mAh battery that promises 3 days of regular use, and a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with 1,600 X 720 pixels. The Moto G Power (2022), mentioned above with a 32% discount, comes with Android 11 and a 50 MP main camera, as well as other minor changes.
The Moto G Power (2021) is quite popular on Amazon, with 4,640 user ratings and 428 answered questions. Its rating of 4.2/5 stars is good enough, with 63% perfect ratings and 18% 4/5 scores. The breakdown by feature only mentions three attributes, namely face recognition (3.6), fingerprint reader (4.0), and battery life (4.3).

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I’ve been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
