AMAZON HAS finally given us some insight as to what will be on sale during Black Friday. Per a recent announcement from the retail giant, Amazon’s 48-hour Black Friday Event is going to be running today Thursday, November 24th (Thanksgiving) through Friday, November 25th. What’s special about Amazon’s Black Friday this year is they are name dropping brands more than ever before—we’re talking massive discounts from editor favorites like Carhartt, Xbox, Yeti, adidas, Samsung, Calvin Klein, and more.

Based on what we’re seeing so far it looks like the annual holiday shopping event will be full of all things tech (especially wearable devices and audio), as well as workout equipment. We’re also expecting huge discounts on men’s apparel, specifically on wardrobe essentials and footwear.

When Will Amazon Black Friday Sales Start?

Per Amazon’s recent announcement, Amazon’s 48-hour Black Friday event will be happening from November 24th-25th. There’s no telling what exact time the event will start on the 24th, so it may be best to start checking for deals in the afternoon (perhaps while you’re waiting for family to come over for Thanksgiving).

One cool thing Amazon is doing this year for Black Friday is you can use your Alexa to check the latest sales by asking, “Alexa, what are my deals?” Amazon mentioned there will be “surprise deals” that will drop “every 30 minutes during select periods” across the 48-hour event.

Is Cyber Monday or Black Friday Better on Amazon?

Amazon Black Friday and Cyber Monday are in many ways one and the same. This year, the quality of deals are closer than ever thanks to Amazon’s efforts in loading its Black Friday event with tons of brands we love. Many deals are likely to overlap. There’s a good chance you could find a name-brand piece of workout equipment (like a rowing machine or exercise bike) for great deal on Black Friday, and then see it discounted again during Cyber Monday.

Keep an eye on both events and write down what you’re specifically looking for to ensure you find your best deal. While Amazon hasn’t announced its Cyber Monday plans we’re betting it will be just as good (if not better) than Black Friday. All-in-all, you can’t go wrong by participating in both.
