PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — Vice President JD Vance will travel to Peachtree City on Thursday for a visit highlighting tax cuts for working families and federal deregulation efforts.
Congressman Brian Jack, who represents Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District, will welcome Vance to his hometown. Jack said the Vice President’s visit underscores recent efforts to support local jobs and families.
Earlier this year, Jack led the repeal of a federal regulation that he said threatened hundreds of jobs at Rinnai, a tankless water heater manufacturer with facilities in Peachtree City and Griffin.
The Peachtree City stop follows remarks Vance is scheduled to deliver Thursday at the Republican National Committee’s meeting in downtown Atlanta.
Jack described the Vice President’s visit as historic, noting that it will be the first time a sitting Vice President has come to Fayette County in more than three decades. The last visit was in 1992, when Vice President Dan Quayle toured Fayette County High School and Melear’s Barbecue.
“I am honored to welcome Vice President JD Vance to Peachtree City on Thursday,” Jack said in a statement. “I’ve proudly worked with President Trump’s and Vice President Vance’s Administration to achieve historic deregulation for our district, and the Vice President’s message on Thursday will generate hope and optimism across our community.”
William Martin, communications director to the Vice President, said the Administration’s tax plan will bring significant relief to Georgia families. “President Trump’s working families tax cuts will result in bigger paychecks for Georgia families by as much as $10,000 per year,” Martin said. “The bill increases the child tax credit for millions of families, eliminates taxes on social security for our seniors, and modernizes both our military and air traffic control systems.”
Last October, Jack hosted former President Donald Trump at a church in Pike County, marking Trump’s first visit to Georgia’s 3rd District. Prior to his election to Congress, Jack worked as a senior advisor to Trump for eight years.
