Especially for us women, life can be very stressful and overwhelming at times, but it doesn’t have to be that way. A simple and effective hack can come in very handy at any time and can save the day. That’s why we’re always open to new tricks that can help us look and feel better. However, there is no need to give in to overconsumption and purchase more things just to accomplish this! We scoured the internet to find the most outstanding and useful hacks that many women can do to boost their appearance. And the best part? They are either cheap or free!

1. Eye-drops for enhancing your eye color

One of the easiest hacks to enhance your beautiful eyes and look more awake is to use eye drops. We tend to get eye redness from lack or sleep or working in front of a computer screen. This redness (or yellowness) makes you look more tired. With eye drops, you get a white canvas from which your beautiful eye color can pop!

2. Use castor oil for thicker brows + moisturized skin

Castor oil is has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Its moisturizing abilities help stimulate hair growth by nourishing hair follicles, making it beneficial for brow hair as well as other body hair. Additionally, castor oil can enhance skin health by providing deep hydration, promoting elasticity, and reducing dryness and irritation. What to do: Use a clean mascara spoolie, add a drop of castor oil, and brush it through your lashes and brows before bed. In some weeks, you’ll notice they are growing long and strong! Another way to use it is by adding a drop to a pea-sized amount of moisturizer, mixing it together, and applying to your face.

3. Try derma planing for smoother skin

Derma planing is essentially shaving the peach fuzz from your face using a designated derma planing razor. Don’t try this with a regular razor! Derma planing is proven to have amazing results because it will allow your skincare to sink in more effectively. Also, have you ever been bothered by seeing peach fuzz on your face in photos? This will take care of that and make your skin look super smooth! It also makes your makeup application look flawless.

4. Reduce flyaways by blowdrying your hair downward

If you always deal with flyaways (little baby hairs sticking up after you blow dry your hair) we have a hot tip for you. Make sure you tilt the blowdryer so the airflow goes downward. Do this on a gentle air setting with medium to high heat. This will make the little hairs behave and settle down. Then finish up with a drop of hair oil (and if you don’t have, even a small drop of coconut or olive oil will do the trick)!

5. How to avoid a muffin top

Feeling like your underwear is squeezing the life out of you? It might be contributing to that dreaded muffin top! When your underwear is too tight, it can compress your stomach fat, pushing it out over your waistband. This can create the illusion of a muffin top, even if you’re not carrying extra weight.

The solution? Go up a panty size! Choose a style that fits comfortably and doesn’t feel restrictive. Remember, comfortable underwear is essential for both your physical and mental well-being.

6. How to avoid the pink tax

Women’s personal care products are more expensive 56% of the time, according to one study. To save a few extra bucks, buy men’s razors and deodorants. They are less expensive and often work better.

7. How to save your nails from flying everywhere

Ever lost a nail clipping in the abyss of your bathroom floor? It’s a common problem, but there’s a simple solution! Wrapping tape around your nail clippers can create a little “catcher” for those tiny clippings.

Simply wrap a few layers of tape around the bottom of your clippers, leaving a small gap at the top for the clippings to fall into. This will keep them contained and prevent them from scattering across your bathroom. It’s a small but effective hack that can save you time and effort when cleaning up after a manicure.

8. You don’t need that trendy $50 lipgloss – use Vaseline instead for about $5

It seems there is a trendy new lipgloss going viral every month. Save yourself the money, because most moisturizing products contain the same ingredients. Instead, stick to Vaseline which contains petroleum jelly, that softens and smooths the lips. It is a timeless product that many swear by. It also serves multi purposes as you can also use it as a moisturizer for your face, dry elbows, feet, the list goes on!

9. How to clean any stain

There are two ingredients that could prove effective for cleaning stains, especially from white clothing: white vinegar and baking soda. Both are extremely cheap, last a long time, and will get any stubborn marks out of your clothing. What to do:
1. Sprinkle the baking soda over the stain
2. Drop vinegar over the baking soda to completely cover the stain (you will notice it fizzle, this means it’s working!)
3. Wait at least 10 minutes and wash it out! You can put the clothing in the washer on it’s normal cycle after.

10. How to hide camel toe and prevent period leakage

Camel toe can be corrected with regular panty liners. If you plan to wear tight clothing, place one panty liner in the crotch area of your panties and place the other panty liner at a right angle to the crotch area.

To avoid period leaks, you can also use two pads: stick one on the edge of the other or attach them to panties shaped like an upside-down “T.” Wearing two pairs of panties should also work if you don’t feel comfortable wearing two pads on your underwear.

Now that you’ve got some clever life hacks to simplify your daily routine, why not do the same for your wardrobe? A professional stylist shares 8 simple rules that can take your outfits to the next level—without a complete closet overhaul.
